Son of the author and war correspondent Ernest Alfred Vizetelly (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ernest_Alfred_Vizetelly) and grandson of Henry Richard Vizetelly (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry_Vizetelly), author and novelist and founder of the Pictorial Times and Illustrated Times.

Born in France but moved to Fulham in his infancy. Mentioned in "Émile Zola, Novelist and Reformer, an Account of His Life Work", 1904 (by his father).

Joined Merton and Morden F.C. soon after the start of the 1909/10 season.
