The son of Galician parents that emigrated to London. Francis was a youth teamer at Arsenal and then was at Barça B, Racing, Wimbledon, Southampton, Ferrol, Yeclano and in Lemos as a player and later as a coach. Follwing that he spent many years at Arsenal as Spanish scout and Head of International Recruitment.

Played 3+1 matches for the reserve team in 1990/91, scoring once.
