Made his Football League debut for the Lions in the 0-0 draw at Division 4 table topping Southport on 06 October 1964 and was a bit-part player as Millwall gained two successive promotions and were unbeaten at home for a then League record 59 games. Played 8 games in Division 4 in 1964/65 and 7 games in Division 3, plus one F.A. Cup game, the following season.
