Geoff Davies
(1977/78)
A vastly experienced striker when Allen Batsford signed him in the summer of 1977, Geoff Davies never recaptured his goal scoring form at Plough Lane.

Starting with Ellesmere Port, Davies moved to Northwich Victoria before Wigan Athletic signed him for £800 in July 1970. He was top scorer in the Northern Premier League in the 1970-71 season and his form earned him a moved to Chester in August 1972. He left for Wrexham in 1973 and starred in their FA Cup and ECWC runs before trying his luck in the United States.

He turned out alongside Eusebio for the Boston Minutemen and had a spell at San Francisco Earthquakes before coming home and signing for Wimbledon in a free transfer. He played 23 times for the Dons and scored once before he moved on again following the arrival of Dario Gradi. After retiring from the game he moved back to the United States to become a hairdresser in Beverley Hills.
