Played for Dulwich Hamlet, having played for Golders Green (Hendon) in 1935/36 and 1936/37 and Epsom. Also played for Marine when work took him to Liverpool at the start of 1937. During that season he captained Liverpool against Manchester. Played for Wimbledon for just the one season and was selected for a Welsh amateur international trial, but decided to instead play for his club in an important match. Rejoined Golders Green after leaving Wimbledon.
