Full Name: Jim Haydock Date of Birth: 23 August 1916 Place of Birth: Unknown Date of Death: 2002 Place of Death: Bury St. Edmunds Jim Haydock (1939/40 - 1951/52) ex-Chester goalkeeper who had previously played for Loughborough College in the Central Amateur League. A physical education teacher at Morden Park secondary school, he signed for the Dons soon after the start of the 1939/40 season, and was hospitalised in his first game, a war-time friendly at Sandy Lane against Tooting & Mitcham. He became the regular keeper when the club restarted after the War and played in the 1946/47 Amateur Cup Final at the age of 30, won a Surrey Senior Cup winners medal and was capped for Surrey.
