Billy Holmes
(1975/76 - 1977/78)
Signed for £2,000 from Barnet, popular striker Billy Holmes made his debut away to Cambridge City on the first day of the 1975-76 campaign and scored 34 goals as both of the club's last two years as a non league side ended with Southern League titles. He kept his place as Wimbledon set out in Division Four and he had scored 7 goals in 15 league games before he was sold to Hereford United for £8,000 in November.

Subsequently with Brentford and Leo Markham's Aylesbury United, he resigned for Barnet in July 1981 but when his career ended early due to injury he took his own life.
