After a couple of appearances in the 1932/33 season Frank spent two years at Hounslow Town before returning to the Dons during the 1936/37 season and breaking into the first team at the expense of ageing stalwart Bobby Goodchild. Missed several games in the 1939/40 season after an operation for appendicitis, but continued to play right through to almost the end of the 1940s, captaining Wimbledon in the 1946/47 Amateur Cup Final.
