Full Name: Aidan Robert Newhouse Date of Birth: 25 May 1972 Place of Birth: Wallasey, Cheshire Aiden Newhouse (1989/90 - 1995/96) Aidan was signed for Wimbledon by Bobby Gould from Chester as a seventeen year old for £100,000 in February 1990 season and made his Dons' début off the bench in the 2-1 victory at Charlton Athletic in April 1990. === Wikipedia entry ===Having made his League début as a fifteen year old and a regular in the England Youth squad he was, perhaps unfairly, favourably compared with another Chester alumni, Ian Rush, by the Chester manager. Over the next six seasons he was only to start seven matches and spent short loan spells at Tranmere Rovers, Port Vale, Portsmouth and Torquay United, making little impact, before signing for Fulham in June 1997. A hat-trick in the League Cup against Wycombe Wanderers accounted for three of his four goals for the Cottagers before Swansea City paid £30,000 for him. Two seasons of limited appearances was followed by a monthly contract move to Brighton & Hove Albion, where he scored on his début, but was only to make one start and soon signed for Sutton United. After relegation from the Conference he joined Northwich Victoria, but retired after only one game and became a maths teacher. 1989/90: Appearances: 0 - Substitute: 0 - Goals: 0 1990/91: Appearances: 0 - Substitute: 0 - Goals: 0 1991/92: Appearances: 0 - Substitute: 0 - Goals: 0 1992/93: Appearances: 0 - Substitute: 0 - Goals: 0 1995/96: Appearances: 0 - Substitute: 0 - Goals: 0 - Total: Appearances: 0 - Substitute: 0 - Goals: 0 |
