Eddie Reynolds
(1957/58 - 1965/66)
6'2" and 13 1/2 stone, Eddie was considered slow for a centre-forward on a firm pitch and was often decried by a section of the crowd at Plough Lane, but his club record goal-scoring feats in 9 seasons in the Dons colours spoke for itself.

Yet Eddie began his career as a schoolboy at centre-half and played for Belfast schools at full-back. After leaving school he played for a youth club containing nine schoolboy internationals before joining the R.A.F. He helped his unit win the R.A.F. Egyptian League and Cup and in his final (of six) years joined Tooting & Mitcham.

Eddie joined the Dons from Tooting & Mitcham soon after the start of the 1957/58 season, scored 4 goals on his debut for the reserves and was thrust into first team action the following weekend, scoring against his old club.

He went on to become the greatest goalscorers in the club's history, including an unprecedented four headed goals in the 1963 Amateur Cup final.

Eddie left for Ashford Town before the end of the 1965/66 season and returned to Ireland, joining Derry City, at the end of that season.
