Full Name: Peter Suddaby Date of Birth: 23 December 1947 Place of Birth: Stockport Peter Suddaby (1981/82) A graduate of Loughborough University, Peter left Skelmersdale for Wycombe Wanderers in 1969. After a season he joined Blackpool and became their captain, playing over 300 times in almost a decade before being sold to Brighton & Hove Albion in November 1980. He joined Wimbledon the following season and made half a dozen appearances before returning to Wycombe Wanderers, and then Hayes in December 1982. He became player-coach at Church Road in September 1984 as his playing career wound down, and after a spell as assistant manager to Alan Mullery at Brighton in 1986/87 he took over as manager at Wycombe Wanderers the following campaign. Although popular with both players and fans alike, results were very poor and he was asked to resign after only five wins in twenty-five matches.
