Sidney played for Nunhead either side of the War, representing Surrey and the England amateur international XI. Made a single guest appearance for Crystal Palace during the War and made a goalscoring debut for Wimbledon in his only known match for the Dons, against Charlton Athletic in the South London Charity Cup semi-final, 1918/19.
