Full Name: Ian Cooke Date of Birth: Unknown Place of Birth: London Ian Cooke (1963/64 - 1977/78) Ian is a legend in the history of Wimbledon. Topping the all-time Wimbledon appearance list, he was a loyal clubman whose playing career spanned the Isthmian and all of Wimbledon's Southern League tenure. A wily and prolific goalscorer who still found the net regularly from midfield in the twilight of his career, he went on to captain the club under Allen Batsford and is now a non-executive director of AFC Wimbledon. He played in the club's last two games as an amateur side, and when the decision was taken to turn semi-pro his employers, Westminster Bank, initially refused to let him sign. Ironically his playing career with the club finally came to an end when the Dons were promoted to the professional ranks of the Football League. === Wikipedia entry ===1963/64: Appearances: 0 - Substitute: 0 - Goals: 0 1964/65: Appearances: 0 - Substitute: 0 - Goals: 0 1965/66: Appearances: 0 - Substitute: 0 - Goals: 0 1966/67: Appearances: 0 - Substitute: 0 - Goals: 0 1967/68: Appearances: 0 - Substitute: 0 - Goals: 0 1968/69: Appearances: 0 - Substitute: 0 - Goals: 0 1969/70: Appearances: 0 - Substitute: 0 - Goals: 0 1970/71: Appearances: 0 - Substitute: 0 - Goals: 0 1971/72: Appearances: 0 - Substitute: 0 - Goals: 0 1972/73: Appearances: 0 - Substitute: 0 - Goals: 0 1973/74: Appearances: 0 - Substitute: 0 - Goals: 0 1974/75: Appearances: 0 - Substitute: 0 - Goals: 0 1975/76: Appearances: 0 - Substitute: 0 - Goals: 0 1976/77: Appearances: 0 - Substitute: 0 - Goals: 0 1977/78: Appearances: 0 - Substitute: 0 - Goals: 0 - Total: Appearances: 0 - Substitute: 0 - Goals: 0 |
