Former Welsh amateur international, winning caps against England and Scotland in 1933/34 while playing for Leyland Motors.

Played for Dulwich Hamlet, having played for Golders Green (Hendon) in 1935/36 and 1936/37 and Epsom.

Also played for Marine when work took him to Liverpool at the start of 1937.

Rejoined Golders Green after leaving Wimbledon and took part in a Welsh international trial in 1938/39.

Captained Redhill immediately after the cessation of hostilities in 1945/46.
