England Amateur International while with Wycombe Wanderers, winger Hodges joined Wimbledon at the start of their Southern League era and was with the club for eight seasons before announcing he was leaving the Dons early in the 1971/72 season to concentrate on his printing business. Was persuaded to stay until towards the end of the campaign when he and Peter Shreeves joined Stevenage Town.
