Ricky Marlowe

5'11" striker who started his career as a professional with East Of Scotland League junior side Bennyrigg Rose. He was only there for six months before he was spotted by Derby County and moved south. Ricky spent five years at Derby, and although he never made the Derby County first team, he was close enough that he appeared in the 1970/71 official Watneys Cup winners team photo, with Manager Brian Clough and his assistant Peter Taylor.

He spent a season at Shrewsbury Town, where he made his Football League début then, as Taylor took over as manager at at Brighton, he joined the Third Division Seagulls on the south coast. After two years at Brighton, including a couple of games on loan at Aldershot, Allen Batsford recruited him to help the Dons to their third consecutive Southern League title.
