Hugh McLeish
(1968/69 - 1969/70)
Hugh was a Scottish Youth international while a teenager at Dundee United. After trials with Sunderland and Luton Town, where he played twice in the Football League (1967/68), he joined Stevenage, then Cambridge City before Chelmsford City paid £500 for him at the start of 1969. Despite being ever present he never settled in Essex and a change of manager prompted him to ask for a move after only three months.

Being able to play in both midfield and attack, Wimbledon signed him on a free transfer in March 1969, Les Henley giving him a deal until the end of the following season, and he made his debut in the Premier Midweek Floodlight Cup defeat at Tooting & Mitcham the same week.

Played irregularly in the first team and left for Berwick Rangers, for whom he played one Scottish League game in 1970/71.
