Bobby made a solitary appearance for the Dons first team before making his name at Kingstonian after joining them in September 1965, where he played in every position - including substitute 'keeper - and was considered to give 100% in every game. In ten years at the club he played over 400 times for K's and was part of their Surrey Senior Cup winning side in 1966/67.
