Jimmy Keeble
(1918/19 - 1920/21)
W H Keeble, known as Jimmy, joined the Club towards the end of the transitional first part season after World War I, having played in the wartime London Combination League for Crystal Palace whilst rising to the rank of Sergeant-Major in the Army. He soon became a regular in the half-back line, most often in the pivotal centre-half role, and in December 1920 he was rewarded after an outstanding eighteen months with a call-up to the amateur England international side, playing in the 4-0 victory over Ireland (pre-partitioning) at Cliftonville, Belfast on 13 November 1920.

After finishing the season, helping the Dons to the runners-up spot in the Athenian League and election to the Isthmian League, he joined Redhill and later appears at Botwell Mission (later to become Hayes) in December 1923, where he played 15 games, reaching the quarter-final of the Amateur Cup, before leaving at the end of that season.
