Omar Bugiel scored one and set up another to inspire AFC Wimbledon to a 2-1 win over Wycombe at the Cherry Red Records Stadium.

Myles Hippolyte should have scored after being put through on goal by Jake Reeves during an exciting start to the game in south west London.

However, the midfielder's attempt went wide of a post, much to the delight of the travelling supporters behind the goal.

Their bubble was burst in the 10th minute, though, as Bugiel nodded Steve Seddon's free-kick into the bottom-right corner to put the home side ahead.

The pair linked up again in the 32nd minute to score Wimbledon's second.

Bugiel won the ball in the area before rolling it to Seddon, who calmly found the bottom corner.

Luke Leahy's looping cross hit the bar as the visitors made a much-improved start to the second half.

And Wanderers got their reward in the 59th minute when an unmarked Ewan Henderson tapped in Fred Onyedinma's cross from close range.

The visitors thought they had grabbed an 88th-minute leveller, but the ball was adjudged to have gone out of play in the build-up and the Dons held on for the win.
