Walton & Hersham
?

With Nash and Stannard missing, Fuce and Hudson their replacements, and Fuller selected ahead of Cousins, the Dons were always going to struggle in this semi-final replay, again held at Kingstonian’s Richmond Road ground, in front of 5,900 supporters.

It was a much better game than the one Saturday gone, and Wimbledon had considerably more of the play, but Walton were able to take advantage of their opponents' weak spots and ran out easy winners. With just twelve minutes gone, by which time Hudson had already been injured and moved to outside-right, Walton took the lead against the run of play, when Hoyle headed home a cross from Johnson.

For fully half an hour after the interval the Dons were on the front foot, but poor finishing meant many opportunities were wasted. Then Walton broke away and Noble scored from a Greenwood centre. Five minutes later and Fuller dithered and allowed Hoyle to steal the ball off him and place it out of the reach of Haydock. To round it off Head, who had been struggling with a knock picked up in the previous game, was carried off ten minutes from the end after a collision with the keeper.
