Palace stretched their unbeaten run to nine games with a 3-1 victory over tenants Wimbledon, who crashed again at Selhurst Park.

The Dons took a half-time lead, with former Eagle Andy Roberts on target, but Palace recovered with a superb second-half performance and goals from Mikael Forssell and Clinton Morrison (2) earned Palace the three points.

The home side started the brighter with Morrison and Hayden Mullins missing good chances in the opening five minutes.

But once Wimbledon settled they began opening up the Palace defence with Neal Ardley in particular dangerous on the right flank.

A couple of chances fell to Marcus Gayle before Wimbledon opened the scoring after 26 minutes.

Ardley made headway down the right before crossing low for Roberts, who was offered time and space to slot a low shot wide of Alex Kolinko.

After the break Palace came out with all guns blazing and within two minutes they were back on level terms.

Former Arsenal player Tommy Black raced into the area and crossed low towards the far post, Mullins knocked the ball on and Finnish striker Forssell bundled home from close range for his fourth goal in three games.

The Eagles took the lead after 55 minutes after Jamie Pollock fed the overlapping Jamie Smith down the right side and the Palace wing-back crossed low into the goalmouth.

Kelvin Davis, under pressure, did well to make a half-stop but as the ball looped up into the air Morrison finished off with an easy header into the empty net.

Palace were pulling the Dons all over the place and it came as no surprise when Morrison wrapped up the points 12 minutes from the end.

Another Palace raid down the right touchline saw Smith supply the young Palace hitman, who drove a low shot from 15 yards out past the outstretched right arm of Davis and into the far corner of the net.
