AFC Wimbledon progressed through to the next round with a 1-0 win over B.A.T Sports with Gavin Bolger scoring the only goal of the game. The twice-postponed game at Bashley then moved to Kingsmeadow finally was played. AFC Wimbledon were playing in white and blue with B.A.T Sports wearing our home colours of yellow and blue. Just before kick off, the ground was pretty full and Wimbledon started attacking towards the West Bank. Ryan Gray and Harvey were working wonders down the left wing crossing in causing trouble for B.A.T Sports. Danny Oakins had a run in with the opposition keeper and don?t think Danny was too happy.

B.A.T Sports were failing to show any threat up front still, Everard and co coping well. After 30 minutes it was still goaless with AFC Wimbledon constantly pressurising and no real attack yet for B.A.T Sports and just before half-time a goalmouth scramble which B.A.T Sports failed to clear fell to Gavin Bolger just inside the box who controlled it and blasted through an array of bodies deflecting off a few people before reaching the back of the net. Just before half-time Ryan Gray hit the post from a free kick and the resulting rebound was saved.

15 minutes into the second-half Lee Sidwell fired a shot from 40 yards out and it just went past the far post. An over hit cross then fell to Cooper outside the area who ran it in and passed to Everard but his shot was saved from close range. A few more shots from the Dons but still we couldn?t extend the lead. On the 90th minute B.A.T Sports could have (should have) equalised when they broke free of the defence for the first time but B.A.T?s striker failed to beat Martin when he blasted wide. The full time whistle blew and AFC Wimbledon were in the next round of the Vase. AFC Wimbledon controlled the game, didn?t show much of the ball to B.A.T Sports and never looked like losing.

Man Of The Match:Steve Gibson - for producing a good display at right back with some very good hard lunging tackles, and a threat attacking causing trouble with his crosses.
