Dons suffered a reverse in the opening game on Good Friday of their Easter tour against a Jersey Island XI in a heavy scoring game. No doubt they were feeling the effects of the rough sea crossing and the cloud which had been cast by the unexpected death of Mr. Jack Brown, Chairman of the Wimbledon F.C.

The Dons were over elaborate in the approach work and did not finish well. White, whose selection at outside-left for the home team caused much surprise, opened the scoring in the 12th minute. Harry Stannard equalised in the 27th minute and pressed till the interval.

Le Gallais put Jersey in front ten minutes after the interval and White increased the lead 15 minutes later and added a fourth soon after. The Dons fought back and Wallis netted from a pass by Stannard and Gauntlett got another ten minutes from the end. Four minutes later Le Gallais put through in a scrimmage in goal and Le Maistre completed the scoring to give the home team a victory by six goals to three.
