With teenagers Harry Wallis, Malcolm Robbins, Jack Cammell and Derek Clarke in the side, the Dons beat Dulwich more convincingly than the scoreline suggests. Tate put the visitors ahead with a 25 yard free kick towards the end of the first half but Freddie Gauntlett replied with a brilliant solo goal soon after the interval. Jack Wallis scored what proved to be the winner on the hour and that proved to be the prelude for the hosts to bombard the Hamlet goal in the final quarter. If they won their games in hand Wimbledon could finish as high as third. |
