Atoss of the coin took the second replay to Sandy Lane but it proved to be a dismal affair played on another heavy pitch. Jock Woods returned to the Wimbledon half back line while Tooting were unchanged for the third time. With both sides desperate not to lose, there were few chances and few thrills for another large crowd until the players began to tire in extra time. Stannard put Wimbledon ahead for the first time in the tie with less than fifteen minutes of overtime left but Kerner forced home an equaliser meaning that both sides lived to fight another day.
